BROOKINGS – The Bender family, owners of Falcon Plastics, recently announced changes to their governance structure effective April 1st.
These changes have been unofficially in effect since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and will now be officially announced.
Jenn Barlund will take on the role of President and Kyle Bender will take on the role of Executive Vice President.
As partners in the company’s management, Barland and Bender are responsible for all aspects of the company’s performance.
Together they will lead Falcon Plastics as a family company in the third generation.
Barlund said “I am very excited about Be called President. Falcon Plastics was created by the insight and innovative Think of The founders, my grandparents, have been built into what it is today thanks to the years of dedication from our team members, stakeholders and family members. “
Falcon Plastics’ current owners and executives, Jay and Guy Bender, remain involved in the business and retain ownership of the company.
Jay will serve as CEO and Guy Bender will serve as Chairman of the Board.
Neither Jay nor Guy have any plans to retire anytime soon.
These changes were implemented through a planned and deliberate transition between the board and management over several years to ensure that the leadership team was fully prepared for their new roles.

Founded in 1975, Falcon manufactures custom injection and blow molding companies that manufacture plastic components for a wide variety of products that are used daily by people around the world. Falcon Plastics currently operates four manufacturing facilities covering over 300,000 square feet in Brookings and Madison, Lexington, Tennessee, and Tigard, Oregon, and a partnership in Suzhou, China.
