EPA Strategy to Combat Plastic Pollution and Promote Recycling

The EPA expects to release a national strategy in a few months to reduce plastic waste, improve recycling and boost the market for recycled goods, a senior agency official said Thursday.

The Environmental Protection Agency is working to change its approach to solid waste management and recycling, said Nena Shaw, acting director of resource conservation and sustainability in the EPA’s Office of Land and Emergency Management.
