Letter to the editor: are plastic bags really a problem? | Letters to the editor

Pooh! I have just come back from shopping. My first new paper bag tore open and spilled my purchases near the cash register. The rest could then only be half filled.

At home, only one person at a time could be brought in, holding the buttocks like a newborn baby. And for what good cause – to save the planet?

When this law was passed, I was looking around my neighborhood, Buckland Mall. Have I seen tornadoes from plastic bags? Did I see dumpsters overflowing? Was the Connecticut River clogged with debris?

What do you see? Are plastic bags a real problem or just a handy catch for the PC crowd?

Did you vote for these MPs? Should you consider someone else next time? Do you want to live your life like this?
