Minnesota Rubber and Plastics, a supplier of engineering elastomers and thermoplastics to the medical, water and industrial end markets, announced today that it has acquired Pawling Engineered Products. Based in Pawling, NY, the company provides custom inflatable elastomer seals and extrusion services.
“We are excited to add Pawling, a company with a 75 year history of providing unique, highly specialized elastomer solutions for business critical applications, to our family and believe in their commitment to superior in-house product design and custom material formulation is very complementary,” said Jay Ward, CEO of Minnesota Rubber and Plastics (MRP). “Innovation is at the heart of what we do, and this acquisition comes at an important time in our company’s history as we expand and invest in technologies that offer very differentiated value to our customers.”
Pawling’s product portfolio includes a number of engineering elastomer products including inflatable seals and clamps, custom compression seals, gaskets, hoses and other elastomer fabrications for critical and demanding applications.
The addition of Pawling’s capabilities will complement MRP’s existing offering in the medical technology, water, food and beverage, transportation and other sectors. The 76-year-old company specializes in the design, development, manufacture and assembly of products for harsh environments, tight tolerances and technically demanding applications, including multi-material solutions and customer-specific material formulations.
