ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (WSPA) – Plastic Omnium is expanding operations in Anderson County. The investment of more than $ 17.7 million will create 76 new jobs.
The hotel is located on Pearman Dairy Road. in Anderson, the extension will produce bumpers and tailgates for General Motors’ new Lyric electric vehicle. In addition, the company will upgrade existing injection molding machines and painting lines and invest in new equipment.
“The automotive industry in South Carolina continues to grow and develop, and Plastic Omnium’s decision to expand in Anderson County and create 76 new jobs is further evidence of this. Plastic Omnium, founded in 1947 and headquartered in France, develops and produces complex and interactive body systems as well as systems for emission reduction and energy storage for the automotive industry. The company employs more than 31,000 people and operates in 25 countries with 131 factories and 25 research and development centers.
