Recycling machine that exchanges plastic for money in a school in Ukraine

What looks like a vending machine installed at a school in Ukraine teaches students how to love donating and at the same time helps the environment.
It is a special recycling machine that exchanges plastic for money.
With the money they earn, students at a school in Kiev help those in need.

“I threw bottles in this machine and helped animals, children and the elderly.”

After throwing a bottle in the vending machine, students can choose to feed stray animals or help the elderly or children with special needs.
In order to raise environmental awareness among younger generations, Ukraine plans to install more machines in schools across the country.
The project, which started in October 2020, collected more than five tons of plastic from six machines.
