Trilogy Plastics Inc. adds twelfth rotational molding machine and plans to add another

Trilogy Plastics Inc. recently purchased its 12th rotational molding machine and plans to add another in October.

Alliance, Ohio’s custom rotary moulder said the Ferry 220 machines will help it keep pace with expanding orders in numerous areas.

“All markets are exploding right now,” said Bryon Osborne, vice president of sales and marketing for Trilogy, in a telephone interview on July 13th. “If you had to pick a pair that would drive growth, I’d say industrial and consumer markets, probably.”

With 2019 sales of $ 26 million, Trilogy was ranked 19th in the most recently published North American rotary formers ranking by Plastics News. For 2020, the company reports sales of $ 27 million, and based on the first half of this year, Osborne said 2021 promises to be even better.

The staff is also growing. “We have 265 employees now and could use 20 more,” he said.

Trilogy was among the four finalists for the 2016 and 2017 Plastics News Processor of the Year awards and was named Best Employer by Plastics News in 2016 and 2018.

Its two plants, both in Alliance, comprise a total of 286,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space. The company’s other markets include heavy trucks, lawn and garden, and marine, among others. It processes low, linear and high density polyethylene with an annual throughput of approximately 9 million pounds. It also offers extensive secondary services.
