Wisconsin-based thermoformer Plastic Ingenuity Inc. opens a new facility in Toole, Utah.
The company expects up to 96 new jobs in the area over the next 15 years, according to an April 8 press release from the Utah governor’s office for economic development.
“Plastic Ingenuity has been looking for the right location to accelerate our growth for some time and we believe Tooele is the ideal match,” said Sakif Ferdous, chief marketing officer, in the press release. “We studied communities in seven different West Coast states and Tooele found Tooele to have the right combination of access to a well-educated workforce, a strong public education system and a business-friendly environment.”
Plastic Ingenuity, based in Cross Plains, already has five plants and more than 700 employees. With annual sales of $ 158 million, it ranks 20th among North American thermoformers, according to Plastics News.
